For those of you who do not wish to spend time on the preparation of meals whilst on holiday we have taken care to provide breakfast and a main meal at two of the best establishments on the island.

The picturesque café “Lydia”, only five minutes away from our accommodation on foot, on what has become the main tourist street of the village, provides breakfast to our guests. This will include a variety of local products such as “misithra” (a type of soft, unsalted cheese) with honey, homemade conserves “composta”, sourdough bread from Chora’s traditional bakery, walnut cake, and “ravani” (a semolina based cake) from the traditional confectioners of Chora, as well as the renowned “spoon sweets” made from local fruit such as the “prausti”

The tavern “The Klimataria”, widely acclaimed and highly rated in travel guides (Alpha Guide) for many consecutive years since 1980, will provide the meal. It is located on the seafront with an uninterrupted view of the sea. The quality is excellent due to the fact that local ingredients and products are used in the creation of their dishes, such as virgin olive oil, and local agricultural and dairy products. You can also enjoy Samothracian goat and seafood here.

Alternative agro-tourism

If you choose it we can arrange, on specific days, a guided tour of the family’s vineyard and/or bee hives where we have been producing and selling organic wine, “tsipouro” (a strong spirit) and honey for three generations.
